Beatriz Lumbreras lives the artistic experience in a very singular state of consciousness. She trusts the power of art and the pictorial language to develop a poetically open and multifaceted reading of reality. Her work is influenced by mystical traditions, specifically by the meaning they give to the concept of imagination, understood as a way of perceiving the invisible that facilitates an inner experience. In this respect, she uses pictorial abstraction as an aesthetic challenge to rationality, as an instrument that transcends our limitations of understanding perception and that allows spiritual experience. A virgin landscape of narrative content where the inessential or everything subject to circumstances, conditions and concepts, is eliminated.
